Judge Samuel & Mamie Hayes (1927-59)

In 1907 President Theodore Roosevelt named Samuel Hayes as an associate justice for Oklahoma’s First State Supreme Court.

After the death of his first wife, Ida, Judge Hayes married Mamie McCulloch in June, 1912. Mamie was head of the English Department in the Northwestern Territorial Normal School of Oklahoma at Alva.
