This home was advertised in the newspaper as the “Largest Model Electric Home in the Country”. It was also selected by the Oklahoma City Electric Club to exhibit all the wonders of the new electric age.
In 1959 the home served as a temporary Governor’s Mansion for Governor J. Howard & Jeanette Edmondson and their three children while the Governor’s Mansion on NE 23rd was being remodeled.
